Yiyin (Mia) Zhong is a second-year master’s student in the Center for East Asian Studies at Stanford University, with an interest in China’s COVID policies, smart cities, and private information protection. Born and raised in China, she came to the States after high school and attained a B.A. at Oberlin College majoring in East Asian Studies and Comparative Literature. Between college and graduate school, she joined The Telegraph’s Beijing Bureau to report general news about China, including the outbreak of pandemic, the PRC’s 70th anniversary, and the resurgence of traditional garments among young population.
