Sharon Shen is an M.A. candidate in East Asian Studies at Stanford University. She holds a Bachelor degree in History from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE), where she studied social anthropology and anthropology of science and technology. Her current research interest primarily concerns the rural-urban divide in China, while she pays particular attention to topics such as education, the digital economy, and women's empowerment in rural areas. She is now working on a project on the impact of the digital revolution on rural employment. In addition to her academic studies, she has been dedicating herself to action-driven projects such as design challenges, social entrepreneurship, and panel organization, hoping to promote a more just, equitable and representative future for all.
