Tim Rühlig is a research fellow at the German Council in Berlin and an associate researcher with the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. He is the chairman of the “high technology and innovation” working group of the EU-financed China in Europe Research Network (CHERN) and a participant of the European Think-tank Network on China (ETNC), whose rotating chair he has been in 2018. His research focus is China’s technology and foreign policy, the PRC’s political economy and EU-China relations. In January 2022, his new monography “China’s Foreign Policy Contradictions” appears with Oxford University Press. More information is available at www.timruhlig.eu.
