Zac Haluza is the writer of Cloudology, a newsletter on China cloud and tech, and a software engineer at Meta. His analysis focuses on China's policies regarding the use of data, cloud computing, and digitalization.
He is also an experienced Chinese translator. His translation of Liu Cixin's short story "With Her Eyes" was published in the anthology The Wandering Earth, and his translation of the thriller Death Notice was named a 2018 Crime Book of the Year by the Sunday Times and reviewed in the Wall Street Journal. He holds a B.A. from Hamilton College in Chinese studies and is currently working toward an M.S. in Computer Science from Columbus State University. After nearly a decade living in eastern China, Zac currently lives in New York City.
